Do offices need health and safety advisors?
If you are an employer who runs an office with employees, we recommend appointing a health and safety officer. This enables you to ensure that your on-site health and safety management is upheld and maintained.
This health and safety officer can be the business owner or a member of your workforce. You may also decide to hire someone externally (this is particularly recommended if you work in a high-risk industry such as construction).
It is the responsibility of the appointed health and safety officer to consider the below (as a starting point) when enforcing the health and safety regulations within the workplace.
